I have always had a passion for creativity, which led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Hollins University, graduating with honors in 2007. Throughout my studies, I specialized in photography and film, exploring their captivating realms.

I find immense pleasure and a deep sense of connection in various environments, including the cozy familiarity of my home, the tranquil beauty of parks and gardens, and the delightful interactions with animals, elderly individuals, children, and even the enchanting world of fairies.

My fist photo assignment was photographing my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary when I was ten.

Lost Pet Detective

On Sunday afternoons, one of my regular activities entailed meticulously examining the lost pet advertisements featured in The Washington Post, driven by an unwavering determination to reunite stray animals with their rightful owners. Equipped with circled ads, I embarked on an extensive investigation in my neighborhood, eagerly scouring the area in search of someone's beloved, yet missing, companion.

Safety Patrol

I had the privilege of serving as a Safety Patrol for three years, from grades 4 to 6, at Annandale Terrace Elementary School. Throughout my tenure, I was stationed at the main entrance, ensuring the safety of students and visitors. In recognition of my commitment and dedication, I was honored with the prestigious Outstanding Patrol Service Pin and Certificate.

Newspaper Delivery Girl

I was the proud deliverer of the esteemed Washington Evening Star newspaper, cruising through the streets on my trusty delivery bike equipped with a charming basket. This splendid two-wheeler had been bestowed upon me by my loving parents, a cherished gift for my twelfth birthday.

Star Supply Co.

In the 3rd grade, I became a master of my times tables and put my skills to use by calculating inventory values for my Uncle's hardware store, before handheld calculators were standard.

At the age of 15, while I was a rising sophomore, I started working at the store for three hours every day after school. My main role was as an accounts receivable clerk, but I also took on additional responsibilities.

I processed inventory check-ins, restocked shelves, assisted customers, cut glass, mixed paint, pulled lumber, bagged seed, operated the register, and much more. This experience allowed me to gain extensive knowledge in plumbing, painting, planting, construction, and so many other areas.
